A book on Alfresco 4 Enterprise Content Management (ECM) Implementation was released in July 2013.This is the 5th book on Alfresco authored by team at CIGNEX Datamatics. The book is co-authored by Munwar Shariff, Jayesh Prajapati, Snehal Shah, Rajesh Avatani & Vandana Pal. This is the third edition of the book, whereas the first edition was released in 2006 and the second edition was released in year 2009.

Alfresco is positioned as "Visionary" in Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Content Management (as per Gartner's ECM report 2012). Every day, over 7 million business users from 1300 customers in 180 countries rely on Alfresco to manage 4 billion documents, files, and processes—behind the firewall, in the cloud, and even on their mobile devices.

The book provides a hands-on approach for implementing document management, form processing, workflows, and business rules; with the key focus on addressing business needs as opposed to technical syntax. It also covers integration with external applications such as Liferay, Adobe Flex, Facebook and productivity tools like MS Office, Lotus Notes and mobile applications.
