ABBYY’s intelligent OCR software available for Microsoft Windows 8

The products offer full functionality for customers who have already adopted the new platform, enabling them to utilize ABBYY’s technologies for precise OCR (optical character recognition), PDF conversion and business card reading.

Microsoft confirmed the compatibility of ABBYY FineReader 11, the intelligent OCR software for creating editable and searchable files from scans, PDFs and digital photographs.

Additional products compatible with the new Microsoft® operating system are ABBYY PDF Transformer 3.0 Pro, the ideal solution for creation, conversion and adjustment of PDF files; ABBYY Screenshot Reader, a useful application for turning any image content captured from the screen into editable text; and ABBYY Business Card Reader 2.0 (for Windows), an easy-to-use software for digitizing and exporting contact information from paper business cards to Microsoft® Outlook®, Salesforce®, etc.
