Newest Version to Provide Support for Migration of Workflows from SharePoint 2007 to 2010, Including Nintex Workflow
ANAHEIM, CA – October 3, 2011 – Axceler, the leader in Microsoft SharePoint governance, administration and migration software, today announced Davinci Migrator 2.0 for SharePoint 2010, which will support the full-fidelity migration of all types of workflows to SharePoint 2010. Davinci Migrator reduces the risks, lowers overall costs and shortens the time required to complete a SharePoint 2010 migration. This next version of Davinci Migrator will enable the migration of out-of-the-box and SharePoint Designer workflows, as well as custom workflows built with Nintex Workflow. This builds upon recent enhancements which allow customers to migrate more quickly through improved performance and broader enterprise data and platform support.
Workflows are critical to productivity and process automation on the SharePoint platform. Companies that migrate to SharePoint 2010 need to maintain that workflow fidelity after migration. Davinci Migrator 2.0 fully migrates all workflows to SharePoint 2010, maintaining those processes.
“There’s been a gap in the SharePoint migration marketplace that Axceler now fills with our newest release of Davinci Migrator,” said Michael Alden, president and CEO of Axceler. “Our customers need migration products that are flexible enough to anticipate and plan out the migration process, able to migrate SharePoint workflows with full fidelity, and move content as quickly as possible when ready.”
Axceler is the only Nintex Technology Partner to provide full fidelity migration of workflows designed with Nintex Workflow, including workflow history and settings. Additionally, Davinci Migrator will be able to identify which sites have Nintex Workflow deployed, as well as the type of workflow by using its unique discovery and query engine. Through Davinci Migrator’s pre-migration analysis, it will also proactively warn users which sites contain Nintex Workflow instances that are still running. Nintex vice president of product technology Mike Fitzmaurice commented, “Several companies provide limited interoperability with Nintex, however Nintex Technology Partners go far beyond that. Partners like Axceler work with us to rigorously test our products and ensure they work together seamlessly, while providing joint support for our common customers.”
Davinci Migrator 2.0 will be available in November and will be demonstrated at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference in Anaheim, CA, October 3-6.
“With Davinci Migrator, Axceler offers customers one of the best migration products on the market today,” commented Scott Jamison, chief architect and CEO at Jornata. “As a partner providing consulting services, we can help our clients migrate to SharePoint 2010 faster and more easily with Davinci’s broad platform support. And that’s beneficial to us and, more importantly, to our clients who don’t have time to waste with failed migration attempts.”
Davinci Migrator for SharePoint 2010 offers comprehensive, risk-based control when moving to the latest SharePoint platform, allowing users to discover, transform, iterate, and control migration activities. Davinci, architected for SharePoint 2010, manages migration from SPS2003 and MOSS 2007 to the 2010 environment.
