Composite C1 celebrates 20000 installs with new release

Composite C1 is ready with yet another release featuring over 20 new functions and improvements.

COPENHAGEN, Denmark 30thApril. Composite is proud to announce the release of Composite C1 3.2, the newest version of the top rated free open source CMS, which recently surpassed 20.000 installs worldwide.

We are very excited that we reached 20.000 installs in just a little more than a year. We are one of just a handful of free open source CMS’ based on Microsoft technology, this fact combined with the good reviews from the users is no doubt  some of the reasons we are experiencing this very fast global brand awareness. An reception we are very proud and humble about, said CEO Oskar Lauritzen.

Integration with social media

The new version of Composite C1 introduces over 20 new functions and improvements to the system, including some exciting new features for editors and developers.

Most notably a tool new tool that allows editors and developers to import media from other sources for example Facebook, Sharepoint, Flickr or another shared resource making it easy for large organizations to share and reuse media across platforms and services.

Other changes include a combined save and publish button that makes it easy for editors to publish and edit content on the fly, and a new options for developers to integrate the login system for Composite C1 with the Windows login system, making it possible to log in to Composite C1 automatically.

Upgrading is easy

Upgrading to Composite C1 3.2 can be done manually via the Composite website or automatically by joining the Composite upgrade program. Besides the many new features the upgrade also support the newest free and commercial packages from Composite, such as the brand new Instant Image Crop package that gives editors full control over image cropping within Composite C1.
