GX Software, global provider of Web Content Management and Online Marketing software, announced today the appointment of high-level advisors to help accelerate the company’s pursuit of global expansion and the strengthening of its operational excellence in international markets. The new Advisory Board members are Wim Heijting and Erik Aeyelts Averink.
The Advisory Board reflects GX Software’s ongoing commitment to become an industry leader in developing customer-driven solutions for Online Marketing. The new members are IT industry veterans with diverse backgrounds. They are not only well respected as leading IT professionals, but are outstanding business leaders as well. Wim has over 20 years of experience in different positions and is seen as a true expert in growth and strategy advice for IT companies.
With his extended corporate and product strategy experience at Tridion and holding several board positions at other IT companies, Erik is a perfect member for the GX Software Advisory board. Together, Erik and Wim will bring strategic guidance to further help GX Software with its product offerings in order to target international markets.

About Wim Heijting
Wim Heijting began his career at Baan Company in 1990 and in 1992 became its General Counsel and Secretary to the Board. In 1995 he co-managed and negotiated the company’s IPO on the NASDAQ and the AEX and was a member of the company’s Worldwide Leadership Team. In 1998 he became COO for Baan Central Europe. In January of 2000 he accepted the position of Managing Partner at Vanenburg Capital Management Holding, a Dutch ICT investment firm. By October 2001 he conducted a management buy in with Watermark Holding and became its CEO. He sold the company in 2005. By the end of 2005, Wim started Finch Corporate Strategy Services, a growth and strategy advisory practice for ICT companies. During 2007 and 2008 he was the President & COO of Cordys Holding, one of his clients for which he concluded a successful financing round. Wim holds a Masters degree in Business Law from Leiden University.
About Erik Aeyelts Averink
Erik holds non-executive board member positions at ADAM Software, Arco Information and Qelp. He also is a venture partner at Newion Investments and strategic advisor to a number of other software companies. Prior to his current roles, he was President at (SDL) Tridion, which provides Web Content Management software. Responsible for corporate and product strategy, he was key in Tridion becoming a global leader. Tridion was acquired in 2007 by SDL. Prior to Tridion, Erik was a general partner at the venture firm Gilde IT Fund, responsible for over 15 investments over a period of 11 years. He is frequent lecturer on entrepreneurship, strategy for early stage companies and venture capital. Erik holds a master degree in economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
