Next Drupal code freeze: September 1st -

"Get your text editors started: the next Drupal code freeze will be September 1st. This means all new features for the next Drupal release need to make it into the development version ("CVS HEAD") no later than August 31st. That is only 3 months from now! As of September 1st, we will start preparing for the next major release by focusing on performance, usability and stability. At that point, mainly bug fixes will be allowed."
