NewsForge: Choosing an open source CMS
NewsForge has an article discussing our favorite topic...content management systems. I would have liked to seen more depth in the coverage of the various CMS out there...but at least it gets everyone thinking in the right direction. The following excerpt from the article, Choosing an open source CMS is so true:
Choosing a CMS is like shopping for a car, or picking out a text editor -- you can get a good idea of what you might like by reading about it and taking a look at feature lists, but that gets overwhelming fast. You won't really know what's right until you actually try a few of them.
Isn't that one of the coolest statements you ever heard? Consider it a Quote of the Week alternative. You can read more at Newsforge by clicking here.
About this CMS Enthusiast
Bryan Ruby is the owner and editor for CMS Report. He founded CMSReport.com in 2006 on the belief that information technologists, website owners, and web developers desired visiting sites where they could learn about content management systems without the sales pitch. Outside of his late night blogging hours, he is the Information Technology Officer for a field office in the federal government.
