I have had this itch to change the theme I'm using for CMSReport.com. I decided to scratch that itch. I'm currently playing with some freely available themes out there for the CMS I'm currently using (Drupal). The theme in use at CMS Report this week is LiteJazz by RoopleTheme.
So what do you think about the LiteJazz theme and is it an improvement over the theme we've been using the past year? Feel free to use the comments section below to voice your opinion.

I'm especially interested in two things:
- Is the LiteJazz theme compatible with your browser and platform? If the theme doesn't look right to you I'd like to know about the problem you're seeing. When commenting about the issue you're seeing, please also give me the browser (IE6, IE7, Safari, Firefox, etc) you're using and operating system (Windows, Mac, Linux, etc).
- Is the level of advertisement for this site acceptable to you? Like most of you, I understand the need for sites to have advertisement but I too can't stand it when I see more ads than content. Up to this point, I've never had a banner ad on the top of my pages. Well there is one now and is that acceptable to you? If the ad is too obtrusive I'm more than willing to pull it. Although, I'm hoping it's acceptable...

Very nice! I think its an improvement. The only thing I notice is that on a CRT monitor at 1024x768 the bulleted items under "popular content" run off the screen slightly causing firefox to add a horizontal scrollbar at the bottom of the page.
Looks great, firefox,
Looks great, firefox, 1024x768. Much better than before.
Fixed Width
Anonymous...just after you posted your comment, I went ahead and adusted the width from 1024 to 990. This adjustment eliminates the bottom scroll bar for those with 1024x768 screen settings. Everyone still like?
I have to admit that after using a 1284x1024 or 1680x1050 screen resolution the past year...I'm not used to the less content space due to fixed width. However...this theme does a nice job and if you view the site via a 1024x768 screen resolution you'll find it does have just as much content space as CNN.com and a heck of a lot more then Linux Today. I can live with that if all you can too.
I have also made some adjustments to the theme for the front page. For example, I changed the templates so that the tags for the articles do not appear on the front page. I do think the post headers/headlines for the articles themselves do need adjusted. To me, on a Windows box they appear to bleed into themselves whether using Firefox or IE7.
Tweaked the CSS
I did tweak the CSS a little bit by adding a line-height of 110% to the .title. No more letters in the article headlines running into each other if they go a second line. Added a little bit of padding to the bottom of the node too. I think I can live with this theme now and so far everyone else seems pleased too.
Hey there,
I didn't recognize you at first! Looks great on Firefox Windows 1024x768 LCD. I had a little trouble navigating at first. The top links fill my screen and when I clicked one of the links I did not realize when the page had changed. Nice server!
The banner ad does not bother me at all.
End of a season?
I suppose when anti visits CMSReport.com it's a clear sign that the farmer's market is coming to a close. Welcome back anti.
I knew there would be some navigation differences with the new theme, but I like the fact that stories of interest can be seen at the top and not require the user to go down further and hunt for them on the side bars. Though narrowing the ad banner could be argued so that more of the content below is seen when opening the page. Something I'll have to consider.
Very Nice
Hey, this looks great! Mind if we post a link on our forums?

Roople, feel free to link from your forum. Though beware that I'm in an experimenting mood and could change the theme in a couple weeks. However, LiteJazz is really starting to grow on me!
Outstanding
Duly noted in this post. Thanks, Bryan!
