Smallbox Software to develop and manage websites for Toronto’s Exhibition Place

Smallbox Software has successfully won a bid to develop, host and manage a suite of websites for Toronto's Exhibition Place. Smallbox Software's content management platform Smallbox CMS will provide content management for Exhibition Place, Direct Energy Centre and Allstream Centre.

Exhibition Place reviewed a number of proposals and technology solutions in response to the RFP and selected, Smallbox Software on the strength of the company's product offering, experience and track record. Smallbox is collaborating with Clear Space Design & Communications Inc. on the project, with Clear Space providing the user interface designs for all three websites. All three sites will launch in Fall 2009.

Our content management system is a powerful and intuitive platform which will enable Exhibition Place staff to manage their website online in real time," said Smallbox principal Michael Williams. "We are confident that securing another high profile website in the Ontario marketplace will give Smallbox a good foothold to expand awareness of our product in the region. Goals for the new websites include providing information for the public, media, and government about Exhibition Place, its venues and Board of Governors; market all venues including the new Allstream Centre and Direct Energy Centre to event planners; and provide visitors with timely event and location information.

Exhibition Place attracts over 5.2 million visitors a year and hosts more than 100 special events and trade and consumer shows annually. The 192 acre parkland setting offers convention, exhibition and conference venues; sporting facilities; restaurants, nightclubs and attractions.
