Mailbag: Take a look at WebGUI
Submitted by Bryan on September 17, 2008 - 6:03pmTavis sent an email to CMSReport.com asking me to take a look at WebGUI. WebGUI is an open source content management system licensed under the GPL v2.
Hello, I wanted to send a quick note and see what it would take to setup a new CMS Focus category for WebGUI. (www.webgui.org) The community is extremely active and there is definitely plenty of buzz about new releases, the community, and the organizations who decide to adopt it.
WebGUI also powers cmsmatrix.org...
Thanks!
Tavis
Let me first admit the obvious. Up to this point, WebGUI has been offf my personal radar. Taking a look at WebGUI's site, listed features, and community...I may need to correct the oversight.

CMS User: Do not forget about CPG Dragonfly
Submitted by Bryan on January 9, 2008 - 7:05amI received an email from CPG Dragonfly CMS advocate, Dizfunkshunal. He observed that we do not cover Dragonfly here too much. Sadly, Dizfunkshunal is correct in his observation, in the past we have posted only a few articles regarding Dragonfly. How did this happen?
Articles regarding a particular content management system get posted on this site by two significant groups of people. Those two groups of people that have the power to put focus on a specific CMS are you and me. The 30 CMS that I am most impressed with today are listed on my site is the left-sidebar under "CMS Focus". This list has changed and will continue to change over time. If you want to help change that list then help persuade me either through comments or by submitting your own stories to CMSReport.com.
New e107 version for the New Year
Submitted by Bryan on January 3, 2008 - 7:13amA new version of e107 has been released, e107 0.7.11. There is also a hint that it's time to think about version 0.8! If you haven't tried e107 for a while, I encourage you to do so!
During my tenure as a judge in 2007 for Packt Publishing, I surprisingly ranked e107 as number two in the Overall Winner category. Given the final outcome, the other judges didn't agree with me...but I stand by my position. e107 is an open source content management system worthy of your consideration.
New year ... new e107 version - The e107 team is proud to present the latest release of e107, version 0.7.11.

a page to redirect to upon login. - Adds a site preference for date format
