The CMS-Connected Review of Liferay Video

I had the privileged of reviewing Liferay Portal for CMS-Connected's "In the Spotlight" segment. This is the first time, I've done a show with new co-host Butch Stearns. The end result is what I think is a great question and answer review of Liferay's products followed by Scott Liewehr's analyst perspective of Liferay the company. In the show, I talked about Liferay Portal and Liferay Social Office. I also had a chance to briefly mention Liferay Sync.

CMS-Connected Video on Demand: iAPPS and Web Governance

On my "to-do list" is a mention of the availability of my In the Spotlight segment online as well as the rest of the May 2013 CMS-Connected show. One of the nice things about participating on this show with hosts Tyler Pyburn and Scott Liewehr is the chance to get to spread my wings to new CMS territory. Specific to this show, I had the opportunity to review Bridgeline Digital's iAPPS Product Suite for the very first time. Once I had a chance to get a demo and do some homework, I found I was quite impressed with this content management platform.

CMS-Connected Video: MODX, Mobile and Social eCommerce

The recording video of the March 26th CMS-Connected show is now available online. CMS-Connected is a monthly webcast featuring news, trends and commentary related to the content management industry. In this particular show the focus was on mobile and social eCommerce with much of that discussion including Gabe Sumner from Sitefinity. I also participated as a guest on the show discussing my impressions of MODX  during the "In the Spotlight" segment.

In 20 Minutes: What I know about Joomla!

Recently, the fine folks at CMS-Connected gave me the opportunity to become a periodic guest for the CMS in the Spotlight segment of their show. CMS-Connected is an hour-long monthly news webcast that focuses on the content management industry. For the January show we had Joomla! in the spotlight, but once we went live I soon found myself challenged to adequately cover the CMS given short period of time and format.

Content Management Fans Will Want To Watch CMS-Connected

There is a a new show in town and that show is called CMS-Connected. CMS-Connected is a monthly news show, streamed live on the TPN Network and primarily focused on the content management industry. This show is so impressive that when Gary Eisenstein, Founder of CMS Connected, asked me if CMS Report would help sponsor the show I didn't hesitate in saying yes.

CMS-Connected showcases the top products and platforms on the content management market, latest technologies, innovations, mergers and acquisitions, and CMS related news. Last month, I joked about my 1.5 seconds of fame on the last show but in actuality the entire show is "must-see".

What I like most about CMS-Connected is that it is a chance for us to meet the people behind the products and the analysis. You'll hear plenty of commentary from leading CMS experts, analysts and participating guests. Many of these hosts and guests for this show are friends in the industry we have all gotten to know or should know. Twitter and social media is fine for discussing content management...but this show makes the conversation so much more personal.

Introducing CumulusClips - A Video Sharing CMS

As a former meteorologist, I think it goes without saying that by default I will talk about any content management system with "cumulus" in the name. In this case, I'm talking about CumulusClips, a video sharing CMS officially out of Beta and released a stable version (v.1.1).

If you are in need of sharing videos but a little uneasy with allowing someone else manage those videos then perhaps CumulusClips is your answer. Requirements for hosting CumulusClips aren't too difficult to meet although you'll want plenty of memory for all that video encoding you'll need to do for new videos uploads.

Introduction to Percussion CM1 CMS

Buried deep in a month's worth of unread emails was a request for me to take a look at Percussion Software’s CM1 web content management system. The claim is that "CM1 transforms the content management experience for organizations with complex content requirements, who lack the scale required to deploy and maintain a traditional WCM". CM1 was designed to allow marketing teams to quickly build and manage highly interactive, social, scalable websites, and open up content contribution to users across their organizations.
