Acquia Cloud for Drupal Receives Government Approval via FISMA Certification

Acquia, a commercial software company that provides enterprise level products, services, and technical support for the open source Drupal social publishing system, recently reached another milestone confirming their company’s ability to deliver secure hosting services for government web sites and online communities. Today, the company announced that it has received a FISMA Authorization to Operate (ATO) for Acquia Cloud.

First Impression: Liferay Grows Up

For a second year in a row, I along with CMS Report was invited to cover Liferay's North America Symposium which is being held this year in San Francisco. During this morning's keynote speech by Bryan Cheung, Liferay CEO and founder, I couldn't walk away from the presentation without recognizing the difference a year can make for one company. Something has changed for Liferay and the many partners and associated vendors that are represented here at this conference. Liferay has grown up, people are ready to talk business, and they're once again ready to talk about the importance of open source and community which makes this all happen.

MODX Revolution 2.2.5 Improves on Caching and Media Sources

MODX Revolution 2.2.5 has recently been released and includes over 150 commits designed to provide a number of fixes and improvements to the content management system. Fixes and improvements of note include improved Media Source function, Caching enhancements and a handling to prevent blank pages occurring on some older hosting environments.
