Telerik today announced several new usability benefits intended to enhance efficiency for digital marketers and business users of Sitefinity CMS, the company’s leading content management system solution. Sitefinity serves more than 70,000 users that account for millions of website interactions daily. Increasingly, the need for authoring and editing content in context of the front-end presentation is an expected feature, especially amongst the Fortune 500. That is why the Sitefinity CMS now comes equipped with inline editing, an HTML5-based module for implementing Google Analytics web analytics service and a dynamic administration dashboard.
“The ability to execute is becoming a bigger and bigger differentiator for the success of online marketing teams. Making digital marketers more effective by authoring content in context of the presentation was the main driver behind the revolutionary inline content authoring experience we’re delivering with this release,” said Martin Kirov, Executive Vice President, Telerik’s Sitefinity division. “Content is still in the center of the online customer experience and enriching it with context, coupled with amazing authoring experience will enable our customers to deliver compelling online experiences and grow their business.”
Sitefinity has always focused on user-centered, task-driven, minimalistic design that enables business users to execute quickly and independently. With the latest release, it now comes equipped with:
Inline Editing: A user-friendly method to make updates within the context of the site. The Sitefinity CMS has introduced a browser-based HTML5 environment for creating and updating content. Content authors can edit title fields and body fields in a true WYSIWYG format; change headers, sub-heads, and body content; and replace images in context of the webpage. The full details mode allows users to edit all the pieces of a content node such as keyword tags, image alt tags, URL, and publication date.
HTML5-Based Module for Google Analytics: The latest release of the Sitefinity CMS marks the upgrade of Telerik’s Module for Google Analytics web analytics service to HTML5. Based on this standards-based environment, users can take advantage of Google Analytics web analytics service integrated tightly to the Sitefinity CMS backend. While editing webpages, content authors can leverage analytic reports including daily visits, visit duration, and unique visitors – while making adjustments to the webpage, on the fly, for improved search engine results.
Dynamic Administration Dashboard: The Sitefinity CMS now comes equipped with a dynamic Administration Dashboard that gives business users visibility into areas such as website interactions, pending tasks and recent content added. Integrated with Google Analytics, it lets users set personalized displays to any metrics such as daily visits, visit duration, bounce rate, or traffic sources or set the dashboard to display content items last edited as well as type and status.
