Welcome to the last article of 2014. This year, CMS Report published over 280 articles related to content management systems, content strategy, business strategy, and information technology. During this time we also declined about an equal amount of articles that weren't quite right for our readers. In each case, I'm grateful for the many authors that submitted their articles for review and publication.

Asif Naseem has a Ph.D. in computer engineering and has been consulting with PDS since May 2014. Naseem has extensive experience leading software, systems and applications businesses for public and privately held companies, including AT&T Bell Labs, AT&T-NCR, Motorola and Oracle Corporation, along with multiple startups. A Skeptical Forecast for Wearable Tech

At the beginning of 2014, a lot of people predicted it would be the year wearable technology really broke through. The promises of Google Glass and rumors of Apple Watch exited us, and we could already see the success of things like fitness bands. However, as the year is coming to a close, we now realize we were a little presumptuous. In fact, we can’t even be sure 2015 will be the year for wearables. Somewhere along the way, I admittedly lost sight of TYPO3. It's not that I ever thought TYPO3 wasn't a good content management system but it never seemed like there was ever a lot of exciting things to write about TYPO3. When a CMS has a history that dates all the way back to the late 1990', well it's difficult to shake it off as as anything but a legacy application. So in my slumber I failed to notice that there was a new CMS on the radar, TYPO3 Neos.
