At the risk of dating myself, I’ve been writing and posting articles online since the 1980s. Back then we didn’t have the Internet but we did have dial-up modems and bulletin board systems (BBS) hosted by computer enthusiasts. When the Internet, blogging, and self-hosted websites became popular in the late 1990's and early 2000’s I was also there. For awhile I hosted a website focused on content management systems that in its peak easily received over 100,000 unique visitors a month.

Report Reveals Over 61% of PHP Teams Using Unsupported PHP Versions

The annual report, produced by Zend by Perforce, presents industry data and analysis on the key technologies and trends within the PHP development ecosystem. This year, key findings centered on PHP version adoption – with over 61% of those surveyed using at least one end of life PHP version. For companies with more than 100 employees, that number rose to nearly 66%.

Inflation hits Cyber Weekend 2022 with goods rising and sales slipping

New York, December 1, 2022 - Nosto, the leading Commerce Experience Platform (CXP), has released its annual Black Friday Cyber Monday (BFCM) 2022 data.

Analyzing more than 107 million website visits to 1,269 online stores during the BFCM weekend that use Nosto’s CXP (which includes merchants in North America, United Kingdom, Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific), they found that, while the BFCM weekend saw encouraging year-over-year growth in overall traffic (global +5.4%, NA +12.5%), sales (global +8.9%, NA +14.7%), and average order value (global +6.2%, NA +10.6%), inflationary pressures pushed the average selling price up (NA +8.5%), dragging down unit sales year-on-year (global -4.8%, NA -9.3%)[1].

CMS Contensis Approved for G-Cloud 13

Content Management System (CMS), Contensis, whose customers include public sector organizations like police forces, councils, museums and universities, will be part of the UK Government’s G-cloud 13 initiative.

Contensis is a sophisticated API-first CMS, which supports any design that can be built in HTML. It has been part of G-Cloud since version two and has been included in every iteration of the framework for the last ten years.

G-Cloud 13 replaces G-Cloud 12 and will provide software services, together with associated support services, to UK central Government and public sector bodies.
